Risk disclaimer
In short
Markov provides research tools and education, not financial, investment, or trading advice. Trading futures and crypto derivatives carries a substantial risk of loss.
Not advice
Markov provides research tools and education. Nothing on this site, in the tools, in our TradingView scripts or in any channel we run is financial, investment, tax, legal or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
Markov is impersonal: everyone gets the same tools and the same information, not tailored to anyone’s circumstances. You make your own trading decisions and carry their results.
Trading carries a substantial risk of loss
Futures, options and leveraged crypto derivatives can lose money quickly, and with some products you can lose more than you deposit. They are not suitable for everyone. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. Past results, real or simulated, do not indicate future results.
Data can be late, incomplete or wrong
Market data on Markov comes from exchanges and data providers and is shown as received. It can be delayed, incomplete, revised or wrong, and a venue can be unreachable from your region. Every panel names its source and freshness so you can judge it; the methodology explains each one. Don’t rely on Markov as your only source for a trading decision.
Models are estimates
Some values are modeled, not measured. They are estimates made under assumptions, marked ≈ and drawn dashed. Positioning levels, when they ship, will rest on end-of-day open interest and a heuristic for which side dealers are on: context about regime and risk, not predictions. The regime score is derived from price alone and says nothing about options positioning.
Hypothetical performance
We publish no performance results, win rates or accuracy figures. A backtest of one of our strategies in TradingView’s Strategy Tester is hypothetical. The CFTC requires this statement alongside hypothetical results (Rule 4.41):
Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
Your firm’s and broker’s rules govern
The account guardrails in our strategies are arithmetic on the numbers you enter. They are not your prop firm’s or broker’s official calculation. Check their rules and dashboards, which are the ones that count.
No affiliation
Markov isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of the exchanges and data providers it reads, TradingView, or any prop firm. Their names are trademarks of their owners.
