Trend Continuation
Buys the pullback while the regime engine reads expansion, with higher-timeframe agreement, an ATR trail, and the same guardrail layer. Stands down entirely when the day turns to pinning.
What it does
Buys the pullback in an expanding session, and stands down when the session is pinning.
How it works
Trend is a fast/slow EMA relationship plus optional agreement from a higher-timeframe EMA, read on the last closed higher-timeframe bar. When price pulls back to the anchor (the fast EMA or session VWAP) the setup arms for a set number of bars; the entry is the bar that resumes through the previous bar’s extreme.
The stop is the recent swing or an ATR multiple with a tick floor. A partial comes off at the first R target, the stop moves to entry, and the remainder trails by ATR. If the regime leaves expansion, the position closes.
Account guardrails
The same guardrail layer as the rest of the suite: position size from the stop distance and your risk budget, a daily loss limit, a daily profit lock, an entry cap and a drawdown model. Set them to your own account’s rules; the strategy is built to stand down before those limits, but gaps and slippage can still carry a loss past them, and your firm’s own calculation is the one that counts.

Backtest properties
$100,000 initial capital, 1 contract, $2.25 per contract per side commission, 2 ticks of slippage, 10% margin, no pyramiding, orders filled on the close of the signal bar. Set commission and slippage to your own broker’s terms before drawing any conclusion.
Hypothetical performance. We publish no win rates, profit figures or backtest results. Anything a strategy shows in TradingView’s Strategy Tester is a hypothetical backtest, not a record of trading.
CFTC Rule 4.41Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profit or losses similar to those shown.
